Check-in Process

EL AL offers three options from which you can choose the one that best suits your flight check-in: the

·         online check-in process.

·         Check in by phone.

If you're traveling with a partner or family, make sure you're seated together, and if you're eligible, you can even book an exit row with extra legroom. It is also possible to purchase or change a seat for an existing reservation by logging into your My El AL reservations account and making changes at your request. If you have not purchased a reserved seat in advance, your seat will be assigned by the system free of charge during online check-in, and you can access and upgrade the assigned seat as needed. You cannot change your seat assignment once you have printed your boarding pass online or at the airport.

If you are unable to check in, You can check-in

·         earlier on your mobile phone or online, but the check-in time starts 24 hours before your scheduled departure time. If you do not arrive by this time,

·         you will not be able to check in. If you cannot check in 45 minutes before your flight's scheduled departure time, you will not be able to check in at the airport.

·         Passengers can check in if they complete their check-in at the airline ticket counter at least 1 hour and no more than 2 hours before departure, otherwise they may be excluded from check-in.

·         Always remember that each airport has its own set of rules and regulations depending on how busy it is and how many passengers and airlines are taking off and landing. Therefore, each passenger should arrive at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure time of their flight.

·         If the passenger falls under the category of unaccompanied minors requiring special assistance.

You can also check your baggage reservation or add baggage to your itinerary during online check-in. Upon arrival at the airport, customer service at El Al offers passengers the option to pay for baggage, carry-on baggage, or checked baggage. EL AL Check

With mobile check-in via the EL AL app, available at select airports, you can:

·         Enter your upcoming trip.

·         Reserve seats and bags.

·         Priority boarding upgrades.

·         Check in online.

·         Access your mobile boarding pass 

·         purchases and track all sales of your purchases.

·         Redeem your purchases right on your mobile device.

To receive a mobile boarding pass on your mobile device, you can use your mobile device and the El Al2Go app to check in for your El Al Airlines flight 24 hours before your scheduled departure time. You are entitled to this option

·         if you have an online ticket.

·         You can access your booking with your confirmation code or e-ticket number.

·         You are not a passenger with special needs (e.g., an unaccompanied minor or traveling with a pet)

·         You are leaving an airport that accepts smartphone boarding passes (if not, you can check in at home and print your boarding pass or pay at the ticket counter at the airport)

·         You are not traveling with an infant (you need to print your boarding pass)

EL AL Check-in (ticket counter)

Not all online passengers can check in. Some passengers (special needs) are required to check in at the airport ticket counters for EL AL to best meet passengers' needs for special facilities in the itinerary. Travelers (e.g., pets or wheelchairs) or better for family members to sit together. Passengers who are required to check in at airport ticket counters are exempt from airport boarding pass printing fees.

Upon arrival at the airport, you must go to the EL AL ticket counter and present your confirmation number and government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport). Photo ID must be presented to all travelers over the age of 18 and minors between the ages of 15 and 17 traveling alone.

Check-in Procedure - EL AL Check-in

You should be at the gate 1 hour before your scheduled flight and ready for boarding. El Al Airlines Pet Policy may cancel the booking of any passenger who does not arrive at the gate at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Boarding closes 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time. If a seat is required for one or more disabled passengers, the passenger may be reassigned to another seat, in which case the passenger seat selection fee will be refunded. 

How to Obtain a Boarding Pass

All passengers can obtain a boarding pass through the following three methods.

·         You can print your boarding pass at home by downloading it from the check-in section of the EL AL website.

·         Digital copies of boarding passes are also permitted so you can download them from your mobile phone via the El Airlines Business Class.

·         If you want to print your boarding pass at the airport, please go to the ticket office and pay them US$5 to print your boarding pass. However, if you fall into the unaccompanied category, you can use it for free.

EL AL check-in
